efd4983eb1 - Forgot to cvs add bb_asprintf.c (from vodz' patch #50) 
- Applied Joel Coltoff's xconnect patch:
On both my host system and with mipsel-linux for my embedded systems
the function getservbyname() gives the port number already in host order.
In fact, this is how it was used by rdate in version 0.60.3. The snapshot
I have of the development tree from July 12, 2002 takes the port number
and stuffs it into htons() before it uses it. This causes bugs in rdate,
telnet and wget. This patch fixes that.

d378c3149c Applied vodz' patches #49 and #50 (with a small correction in runshell.c) 
#49: I found one memory overflow and memory leak in "ln" applet.
Last patch reduced also 54 bytes. ;)

#50: I found bug in loginutils/Makefile.in.
New patch have also new function to libbb and
aplied this to applets and other cosmetic changes.

0b31586c71 A patch from Bart Visscher <magick@linux-fan.com> to add an 
xconnect helper routine which does:
        -address and port resolving
	-tries to connect to all resolved addresses until connected
	-uses getaddrinfo, so works for IPv6 too
This patch also ports rdate, telnet, and wget to use the new
xconnect function.  Thanks Bart!

IPV6 support to busybox.  This patch does the following:
    * Add IPv6 support to libbb
    * Enable IPv6 interface address display
    * Add IPv6 config option
    * Adds ping6, an adaptation of the ping applet for IPv6
    * Adds support routines for ping6:
	- xgethostbyname2
	- create_icmp6_socket
    * Adds ifconfig support for IPv6
    * Add support IPv6 to netstat
    * Add IPv6 support to route

85208e2ab9 Completely rework the config system so that it no longer annoys me to work on 
the busybox development tree.  This eliminates the use of recursive make, and
once again allows us to run 'make' in a subdirectory with the expected result.
And things are now much faster too.  Greatly improved IMHO...

0733e840bd chomp should only remove the newline if it occurs at the end of the input. 
This was caught by the test suite (in sed/sed-aic-commands).

b24d65659f If find_pid_by_name() had an error, it was returning -1, but storing 
that into a pid_t, which is unsigned on a number archs.  Furthermore,
find_pid_by_name() would _never_ return an error if the intended proces
was "init", but instead would return 1, meaning we would fail to work
on 2.4.x kernels running an initrd...

38288bbf4c gunzip was incorrectly reporting a failed crc and length (discovered by 
Chang, Shu-Hao).  The bitbuffer needs to be unwound after decompression,
as it was eating into the crc/size field.

3450636169 Latest patch from vodz. Adds a check for divide by zero in the posix 
math suport, cleaner math syntax error checking, moves redundant signal

cleanups elsewhere.

was written by Aaron Lehmann <aaronl@vitelus.com> for busybox.  This
patch makes a few trivial changes to Aaron's code so that it can be

044228d5ec This is vodz' latest patch. Sorry it took so long... 
1) ping cleanup (compile fix from this patch already applied).
    2) traceroute call not spare ntohl() now (and reduce size);
    3) Fix for functions not declared static in insmod, ash, vi and mount.
    4) a more simple API cmdedit :))
    5) adds "stopped jobs" warning to ash on Ctrl-D and fixes "ignoreeof" option
    6) reduce exporting library function index->strchr (traceroute), bzero->memset (syslogd)

d877d44d12 All-integer version (but it does use an unsigned long long) which fixes 
the problems of the previous version (used floating point, overflowed, didn't
round properly).  The comments at the top of the file are worth reading;
especially note 2 concerning "ls -sh".

a2949aa217 Add some missing includes to kill warnings when building with the default 
Config.h and using gcc's -fno-builtin.  There are probably other files
with the similar problems.
Also, if building against uClibc, don't include asm/unistd.h in syscalls.c
and module_syscalls.c.

eb1c94078f Reorganise unarchiving functions, more code re-use, only does single pass(no more linked lists), basis for supporting a cpio (and cheaper untar) applet, but cpio applet isnt included in this.

f429baca86 I reworked make_human_readable_str so it now has a sane interface, 
and then fixed up df, du, and ls to use the new interface.  I also
fixed up some formatting issues in ls while I was in there.

14d354312a Per suggestion from Vladimir, eliminate check_wildcard_match(), which 
was only being used by insmod these days.

Also, I spent a minute adjusting insmod so that it first searches
/lib/modules/`uname -r` and then (if that fails) searches /lib/modules,
which makes bb insmod behave much more like the real insmod, and should
avoid nasty surprises (such as the recent "Modutils vs. Busybox..."
thread).

5f265b755a Fix a segfault in lash, hush, and cmdedit. Each of these used 
xgetcwd, but did not check the return for a NULL, and then continued
to call strlen on the NULL when the cwd had been removed from under it.

186bf1defc This is Vladimir's update to last_char_is(). Since 'char *' is 
the least common denominator, I modified it to use that (not const),
which will minimize the need for casting elsewhere.

044a72d0d5 Larry suggested using concat_path_file() would be an even safer bet 
for 'which'.  I ageed, so I whipped this up -- which revealed a bug in
concat_path_file.  It turns out that that a '/' can be appended from
either the path _or_ the filename, but only the former was checked.

c1bdffe99b Another nice cleanup from Larry. This adds a new last_char_is() function and 
uses it to avoid possible buffer underruns whn strlen is zero, and avoid the
possible space-hogging inline of strlen() in several cases.

04095e58fb Move messages.c to libbb. Make each string in messages.c be its own .o file. 
This way, we can new get rid of all that tedious #define rubbish we used to
need to enable specific messages.  This way is enormously simpler, and as a
bonus also ends up saving us 96 bytes.

46cd74b9e3 This has two patches. First it moves interface.c to libbb (it is 
support code after all).  It also contains a patch from Larry Doolittle
that removes two instances of "strlen([^)]*) *- *1", un-shadows two
variables, relaxes requirement for a sprintf(3) that returns number of
bytes written, and eliminates a duplicate subroutine.

e76c3b08e1 A number of cleanups. Now compiles with libc5, glibc, and uClibc. Fix a few 
shadowed variables.  Move (almost) all syscalls to libbb/syscalls.c, so I can
handle them sanely and all at once.

91c9388715 Place a temporary bandaid on the ls/du/df human-readable issue. This method is 
not going to scale up as well as I would like, and Matt Kraai and I have
discussed a better long term solution.  But for now this will at least make all
the human-readable apps give correct answers.

Please test the human readable/non-human readable options on your systems!!!

60b2d8d2c8 if strlen(s) was 0, it would then end up using s[-1] as an array index. Bad, 
bad, bad.  This was crashing the shell on powerpc boxes, though all other archs
seem to have a much more forgiving malloc implementations.  I finally found
this bug using electric-fence on a powerpc box.
