William Hubbs 0c8bea2152 Improve processing of service directories and conf.d files 
symbolic links should not be followed in an attempt to work out the name
of the service we are running. Also, @sysconfdir@/conf.d should be tried
as a backup directory for configuration files.

Makefile.FreeBSD We need to ensure that the init script started is correct, translating symlinks. This has a new rule - multiplexed services must exist in the same dir as the master sript.
