Prior to this change, xbps-query --cat would abort if the entry file
name would contain non ascii characters as it returns ARCHIVE_WARN
when failing to use iconv to the users character encoding without
having locales initialized.
Other places in xbps already ignore ARCHIVE_WARN.
This allows you to print to stdout any file stored in a binary package,
locally or remotely!
$ xbps-query -R --cat=/usr/bin/ls coreutils > ls
$ file ls
ls: ELF 64-bit LSB executable, x86-64, version 1 (SYSV), dynamically linked (uses shared libs), for GNU/Linux 2.6.32, BuildID[sha1]=7a195fc46d1d5cdca32bfccd3b30f81784e342ed, stripped

- This mode prints to stdout the matching FILE stored in a binary package.
- ABI break: renamed xbps_get_pkg_plist_from_binpkg() xbps_binpkg_get_plist().
- Added xbps_binpkg_get_file() as a generic way to get pkg file contents.
- Removed useless comments from xbps_api_impl.h.
The list of required external deps is now confuse, libarchive and openssl.
libxbps now includes a wrapper for proplib prefixed with xbps_ rather than prop_.
These are the core interfaces in the new API:
rpool - Interface to interact with the repository pool.
rindex - Interface to interact with repository indexes.
pkgdb - Interface to interact with local packages.
transaction - Interface to interact with a transaction.
This also brings new repository index format, making the index file
per architecture and being incompatible with previous versions.
The transaction frequency flush option has been removed, and due to
the nature of package states it was causing more harm than good.
More changes coming soon, but the API shall remain stable from now on.
After looking at profiling output I saw that a not so small of time spent
was in libarchive trying to know if archive is zip compressed... so
I've enabled the three compression formats supported by xbps-src.
- A configuration file "xbps-conf.plist" replaces the (un)register target
in xbps-repo(8) and (un)set-prop in xbps-bin(8). For now, you can set
the repositories and prefered virtual packages.
- New package pattern matching code from NetBSD. Supports more ways of
matching patterns in packages.
- Multiple bugs fixed in virtual packages related matching code.
