The tar symlinks mode test is fixed similarly to the hardlinks
test in 0d7cb4cc, and the read-only test is skipped by
SKIP_KNOWN_BUGS.

The tar tests still don't pass, but at least now it's because of
a problem with Busybox and not the tests themselves.

Removed assumptions about umask and locale. Fixed hostname
tests to work even when the host has no DNS domain set.

Search harder for the ZIP magic numbers at the end of a file by checking
16 KiB from the end instead of just 1 KiB. ZIP files with long comments
(such as certain cryptographically signed files) or those sitting in a
wrapper could have more than 1 KiB of data after the magic numbers, so
they couldn't be read.

The new isprint replacement macro returns TRUE for isprint(EOF), so the
read loop never returns. Moved the check for EOF immediately after the
read.
